Let's get started. Hello, my name is Nicole Fisher, founder and principal designer of Nicole Fisher Interiors, and welcome to the Interior Perspective. This is the show where luxury real estate and timeless design meet. Whether you're a broker, a design lover, or simply someone who appreciates a beautiful home, I'm so glad you're here. I own and operate a luxury interior design business in the Hudson Valley. My team and I primarily work on high-end residential properties, creating one-of-a-kind end products for our clients, overseeing the process from start to finish. We have some serious experts on this team and we attract only the best. Real estate agents are a major resource for our business. From a design perspective, potential homebuyers often don't have a vision for their property. Maybe it's a choppy layout. Maybe it's terribly hideous finishes. Maybe there's a tiny kitchen or maybe it's simple as ugly colors on the walls. It's our job to interpret those issues and to come up with creative solutions for each one of them. On the flip side, we're often introduced to clients that have just purchased a new build or a recently renovated property. Many times that comes with its own issues where we have to infuse a whole set of character into that space. Be gone, the white box. We have no space for you here. In other ways, we collaborate on homes that need staging and a light refresh before selling. At that point, we're working directly with the broker instead of the client. And finally, I buy and sell my own luxury properties, finding diamonds in the rough and turning them into the hottest home on the block. All that said, luxury real estate and I speak the same language. We understand the value of a property, the value of good bones, the value of land, the value of history, the value of moldings, the value of space, and the value of opportunity. Trust me, we can turn anything into a gem. Of course, that comes at a price, but having the people to locate those gems is a game all on its own. Luxury real estate, however, usually comes with its fair share of challenges. How can you get your vision across to a stubborn client? How can you convince someone to look past the ugly? How can you influence a client to adjust their expectations? We're talking about a serious emotional attachment. Sellers are nine times out of 10 occupants of the house, and they have a serious bond with it. Wouldn't you? But who doesn't love a challenge? I do. Otherwise, life is boring. Bridging the gap between luxury real estate and design is not a new concept. Talking about it in this way makes the show all the more exciting. I not only preach, I practice. And now I want to get to know the ins and outs even more. How can I be a better partner, better consumer? How can we use what we chat about here to support each other when we step away from the mic? How does good design impact the home? How does it impact how it looks? And eventually, how does it impact how it's sold? Great photos only do so much. You want to create a feeling, a feeling of something when you walk through that threshold. We're giving brokers a platform to tell their story. How did they get into the luxury market? How did they influence their clients to make that offer? How did they look for a property before they agree to list it? It's a saturated field, and we're talking to the best of the best. Connections are everything. And some people I've chatted with here are personal friends, friends I've grown out of even my own transactions. And yes, I'm just fucking obsessed with real estate. It's where I spend so much of my day constantly scrolling what's new, what's ugly, what's sold, and what I can buy. The opportunity is what excites me. And I think it's the only field that literally has unlimited opportunity. if you do it right.
